UP Minister Nand Gopal Gupta inaugurates Paperex at Expo Mart, expresses optimism about India’s Paper industry

While inaugurating Paperex 2023, World’s largest Paper show on Pulp, Paper and allied industries, Nand Gopal Gupta “Nandi”, Minister of Industrial Development, Export Promotion, NRI and Investment Promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh expressed optimism about India’s Paper industry and stressed on the adoption of sustainability in processes and products in the paper sector. The Minister added that there was need to implement cutting-edge, effective technologies to remain competitive in the rapidly changing global business scenario. Nandi was quite impressed with the display of hi-tech products and technologies by over 600 exhibitors from 24 countries at Paperex 2023 being organized by Hyve India Pvt Ltd from 6-9 Dec 2023 at India Expo Centre, Delhi NCR, India. Guest of Honour Mr. Harsh Pati Singhania, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, JK Paper Ltd stated, “Paperex is the best place for ice-breaking and face-to-face interactions for Indian paper mills owners who are looking at setting up new mills or collaborations with existing players abroad to widen their business horizons.“

Paper consumption in India is likely to register 6 to 7 per cent growth per annum and reach 30 million tonnes by FY 2026-27, largely driven by the emphasis on education and literacy coupled with growth in organised retail. The expo facilitates bulk deals, joint ventures, distribution tie-ups, knowledge-sharing, offers and opportunities to explore multiple suppliers and identify newer sourcing and export destinations. Paperex is instrumental in enabling industry players to upgrade their procurement, production and supply chains as well as to get access to new brands, updated technology, advanced machinery & equipment and raw material. The expo is a being visited by paper & board manufacturers, paper traders, printers, publishers, converter and paper packaging companies, designers for corrugated box & related packaging, investors & promoters.
