Upcoming Multi-sector Intl. Exhibition in Accra, Ghana receives encouraging Response

The Third Edition of the multi-sector international exhibition being held in Ghana International Trade Fair Centre, Accra, Ghana, from 6th to 8th September 2018 has received encouraging response with 175 exhibitors from 15 countries participating in the Event, which will bring together players across the world interested in the African market to meet at one place and learn about the business opportunities in the West African Region and Ghana in particular.

The Shows held concurrently during the grand international trade Exhibition are POWERELEC GHANA, CONSTRUCT GHANA, GHANA MOTOR & AUTO PARTS WEST AFRICA. The exhibition is already sold out well in advance and the Organisers are now concentrating on visitor promotion targeting a footfall of 5,000 Quality Visitors.

60 exhibitors from India are participating under FIEO (the Federation of Indian Export Organizations) Pavilion supported by the Government of India. The other exhibitors are from 15 countries including China, Egypt and Turkey. A large contingent from Ghana will be represented by the Ministries and various Organizations and Associations, who are also supporting the exhibitions. The Exhibition is organised by FairAct and its Dubai partner, Verifair.

In a key note address at a Media Launch of the ‘Media and Industry Meet’ held in Accra recently, Mr. Robert Ahomkah-Lindsay, Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry expressed the hope that the exhibition would yield the desired results of attracting Foreign Direct Investments into Ghana.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Samuel Atta Akyea, Minister of Works and Housing, said the Ministry had some priority infrastructure projects and was looking for Private Partnerships to accomplish.

H.E. Mr Birender Singh Yadav, the High Commissioner of India to Ghana informed that India was excited to partner Ghana in the areas of the exhibition, adding that 60 Companies from India would be participating in the exhibition.
