WATER BOARD SUGGESTS ‘ONE HOUSE PER FAMILY’ POLICY

The Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) has proposed a ‘one house per family’ policy in order to prevent “unnecessary concretization” and water crisis in this country. The board made the suggestion in its report, submitted to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Thursday, following a study that revealed the groundwater table has been fast depleting in Noida and Greater Noida.
