“Water: Needs to be Available, Accessible and Affordable!” –
Highlights the centrality of water to human survival and sustainable development this World Environment Day

Clean Water has the power to change human lives. Water is fundamental to all living species, economies and the environment. Every human being on this planet requires upto 50 litres of safe water each day for their drinking, cooking, and sanitation needs. However, 80% of the global population already faces threats to its water security and it is estimated that by 2050, 40% of the world’s population is likely to be living in severe water stressed zones. It is no secret that Water Crisis is the top global risk that our world faces in terms of impact.

“Lets highlight this year on the occasion of World Environment day that 2 Billion People are suffering due to lack of access to safe drinking water. In too many places, water is wasted, contaminated and above all, taken for granted. All over the world, pollution, over-consumption and poor water management are rapidly depleting both, the quantity and quality of available water. If current trends continue, two out of every three people on earth will suffer moderate to severe water shortages in just two decades from now. Globally, one in six people still have no regular access to safe drinking water, and more than twice that number (2.4 billion people) lack access to adequate sanitation facilities” says Parag Agarwal Founder & CMD JanaJal

In a world that needs 350 billion litres of water everyday, JanaJal aspires to deliver 1 billion litres per annum by 2018. “We are committed to make a difference and make Right to Water a distinct reality in the life of every Indian” says Parag Agarwal, Founder & CMD, JanaJal. He added, “We solicit and seek support from Corporate India to further this cause in an affordable and sustainable manner and make this precious resource available to one and all.”

JanaJal, a New Delhi based company is the flagship initiative of Supremus Group that is committed to change the perception and thought process on drinking water and ensure better living for communities through installation and operations of water ATMs in India. The company is currently installing 100 water ATMs at various railway stations with IRCTC in the Mumbai region and parts of Gujarat and Delhi NCR with a goal to have 1000 water ATMs commissioned and operating in India by 2018.

The core team is headed by Founder & CMD Parag Agarwal who has worked with cutting edge technologies and worked across diverse sectors and geographies to enable their implementation in India for over 2 decades. He has worked in the water management sector for nearly 10 years and believes that only a technology agnostic approach towards water treatment will help conserve water and make it available to our future generations.
