New Delhi, 20th April 2022: In the wake of rising Covid cases in New Delhi, the DDMA (Delhi Disaster Management Authority) has ordered to make wearing masks mandatory in public places.

In order to ensure that the people abide by the order, Rs 500 fine has been imposed on people failing to abide by the law.

After the government withdrew the compulsory rule of wearing masks, experts believe that the people of Delhi dropped the masks that led to increase in Covid cases, i.e., over 501 fresh cases on Tuesday.

Simultaneously, DDMA has undertaken Covid testing and vaccination of the children, especially after the authorities decided to not shut the schools and set up guidelines to avoid spread of infection in the premises, according to sources.
