Yogi Adityanath befitting reply to SP – BSP’s Deoband plan, will start campaign from Shakumbhari Temple, says UP CM
India, (18/3/2019): UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said, that he will begin his Lok Sabha Election Campaigns from the legendary Shakumbhari Devi Temple in Saharanpur.
The BJP’s saffron mascot is likely to visit the temple on March 25 after the last date for withdrawal of nominations.
This decision of CM seems to be in complete contrast of the SP – BSP alliance, which announced to start their election campaigns from Deoband, just 40 kms from Saharanpur from April 7.
Speaking at an event in Lucknow, CM Yogi Adityanath said, “the alliance’s choice of Deoband was an indication of its orientation and priorities”.
Yogi Adityanath also took a jibe on Priyanka Gandhi’s boat campaign and said, “Congress leaders should thank PM Modi, who expedited waterway projects in Varanasi and Prayagraj, i will be happy if Congress President Rahul Gandhi, SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav and BSP Supremo Mayawati also take a boat ride”.
While Deoband is famous for the Darul Uloom, an Islamic School which supposed to be one of the largest Islamic Schools in the country. On the hand, the Shakumbhari Temple is associated with a cult of vegetarianism among Hindus. The legend has it that Goddess Shakumbhari killed the mighty demon king Mahishasura at this place.
Meanwhile, the decisions of BJP and SP – BSP clearly shows the ambitiousness to get into the power.
