#GIVEUSOURHOMES – Peace March by Home Buyers Group from Great India Place Mall
#GIVEUSOURHOMES – Peace March by Home Buyers Group from Great India Place Mall to Film city Noida on 1.11.2014, starting at 3.00 PM
Not a single week has gone by over last few years, when you would have not heard some aggrieved Home buyers group ranting slogans & showing banners as a mark of protest against the concerns of the respective builder/developer at their offices.
Whether it is the buyers group of Jaypee Infratech, Unitechunihomes, 3C Infratech, BPTP, DLF, Supertech, Gardenia Glory, Bhasin Group, Logix, EMAAR MGF or any other big or small developer most of them have been taken for a royal ride by the respective builders. The pain emerges from common concerns on the following counts:-
1. Execution Delays – Projects launched in 2007-08 that were supposed to be handed over in 3 years are yet far from delivery and there has been wilful default by builders.
2. No clear convincing communication from builders on reason for delay when buyers have already paid 95% as per schedule.
3. Misappropriation of funds collected for residential projects to alternate profitable ventures as it is cheap capital for them well protected through paltry penalty clause
4. Forced financial losses to buyers who are paying huge amount of EMIs along with the annually increasing rentals (Average financial loss to each household of 10-15 lacs on account of each year of delay)
5. One sided contracts offering paltry penalty of 5-10 Rs. psf pm as against 18% charged for any delay from buyers side.
6. Blatant violation of building laws & imposing charges at will to that offsets the so called promised penalty as well besides poor quality of delivery
One would agree that all this is nothing but “Unscrupulous Exploitation” of buyers by the builder lobby due to lack of strong reality laws that could curb such practices.
Aggrieved Flat buyers of NCR who are vested under various projects have today decided to pool resources together under the umbrella of NCR HOME BUYERS GROUPto raise their voice together with a banner “#GIVEUSOURHOMES” to get the much required attention of Lawmakers& enforcers of the country on the comman issues and demand firm and effective steps to be taken to put an end to this exploitation by builders lobby.
“As a first initiatives, the buyers group has planned a peace march on 1.11.2014 at 3.00 PM starting from GIP NOIDA and ending at the film city in the form of a human chain to draw national attention & make ourselves heard on the issues.” We expect over 500 buyers to join this march with families.
Following the march, the buyers group shall handover each media house a copy of a letter written by them to our honourable Prime Minister Mr.NarendraModiappraising him on the comman issues of over 1 Lac under construction projects along with insights of some specific projects that have surpassed all limits of consumer violations. The aim is to appeal for strong governance impositions on these defaulting builders to make them more accountable & curb illegal practices.
We would request you to kindly support the cause by attending the march & providing adequate coverage & visibility on the issue and the event. Various groups shall assemble together visibility of their respective RWA/formal & Informal Association banners.
