The number of legally-installed towers in the six zones is 1,255 — Rohini (163), Narela (132), Civil Lines (353), Sadar Paharganj (145), Karol Bagh (282) and City (184).
Among the 1,284 illegally installed towers in the six zones, Rohini has the maximum of such structures, 615, while City Zone has just 4 of them.
Meanwhile, Standing Committee Chairman Mohan Bhardwaj today also briefed about the NDMC’s plan to set up a call centre for single-window redressal of grievances of citizens.
As per the plan, the service wil be toll-free and will be integrated with online facility.
The call centre would be initially started for the DEMS (Department of Environment Management) and would later be extended to other departments.
Some of the other features of the facility proposed are: escalation of unattended calls to the authorities concerned as per the escalation matrix provided by the NDMC, call follow-up and feedback.
