New Delhi (India), 11th June 2023: Kairan Quazi, a 14-year-old software developer, has been hired by SpaceX after passing the company’s “technically challenging” and “fun” interview procedure. Quazi is the company’s youngest employee ever.

He began studying computer science and engineering at the age of 11 and will graduate from Santa Clara University this month with a degree in computer science and engineering, according to the LA Times.

Quazi is delighted to begin his new position at SpaceX and expects to use his expertise to assist the firm in reaching its goal of sending humans to Mars.

He wrote on LinkedIn, “I will be joining the coolest company on the planet as a software engineer on the Starlink engineering team. One of the rare companies that did not use my age as an arbitrary and outdated proxy for maturity and ability.”

According to sources, Quazi intends to relocate with his mother from Pleasanton, California to Redmond, Washington, to begin working at SpaceX.

According to the LA Times, Quazi’s early interest in news and current affairs demonstrated his intelligence and curiosity. His journey began when he was two years old and capable of speaking in full words. He was telling his friends and teachers about news articles he had heard on the radio by kindergarten.

The young prodigy discovered that his schooling was not hard enough when he was in third grade, at the age of nine. Recognising his academic aptitude, his parents enrolled him in a community college.

The 14-year-old posted on Instagram earlier this year that he was preparing for a job interview. He later shared a screenshot of his SpaceX job acceptance letter.
