355 e-challaned by Noida cops in a week, only 18 pay fine

It’s been only a week since the Noida Traffic Police launched ITMS (Intelligent Traffic Management System) using which they can issue e-challans to the violators of traffic rules on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, and they have already caught 355 vehicles for speeding. While the cops have sent e-challans to all the violators through speed post asking them to pay the fine within a week of the date of issue, so far only 18 people have come to pay the fine which amounts to Rs 5,300. But for those who have ignored the challan, perhaps they don’t need to start worrying yet, because the cops are yet to decide what they will do with those who don’t bother turning up to pay the fine!
