39 Indian’s killed in Iraq: Hindu organisation demands Rs 1 crore ex-gratia to each family and job to family members

New Delhi: Jolted with the recent death of 39 Indians in Iraq, members of United Hindu Front protested at Parliament Street today and burned the effigy of ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.

Members of United Hindu Front gathered at Parliament Street and raised scores of slogans against ISIS, Islamic hard-liners. 

Slogans such as “ISIS ka Baap Koun, Hinudstan, Hindustan”, ‘Baghdadi ko phasi do’ and so on were raised by a charged crowd. They demanded Union Government to give Rs 1 Crore compensation to kin of 39 deceased and job to a family member.

Minister of External Affairs (MEA) Sushma Swaraj recently announced that  39 Indians who were missing from 2014 were dead. They have been killed by the ISIS militants and the government has confirmed their deaths through DNA test. 

As she shared this information with parliament, the issue triggered a controversy and opposition parties started hue and cry over the issue. In that row, members of United Hindu Front protested the death of Indians. 

While talking to the Ten News secretary of the UHF, Bhagwan Goyal said that the BJP government is not responsible for their death but the Islamic hard-liner. And the government confirmed their death after the DNA test. “Government needs to take bold move to eradicate terrorism from India as well as globe.”

“Those who died in Iraq were the sole bread-earner of their families, in that situation Union Government should give compensation of Rs 1 crore to each family and job to a family member. We have met with the Home Minister Rajnath Singh and wrote to PM Modi regarding our demands,” He added.
