“4th National Voter’s Day at I.T.S Dental College, Greater Noida

The “4th National Voters Day” was celebrated in all the districts and Tehsil headquarters in Uttar Pradesh. The Day is being celebrates throughout the country to enhance the number of electorate to exercise their franchise, a fundamental right provided by the Constitution of the Country, which empowers a common man.
A function was organized at I.T.S Dental College, Greater Noida to celebrate “4th National Voters Day” on 25th of January 2014. The function had a poster competition titled” My Vote –My Power”, and a debate competition ‘Your Vote can Change The Nation”.ADM (Admin) Mr. Sanjay Chauhan was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Winners of the competitions were awarded with cash Prizes mementos and certificates and by Mr. Sanjay Chauhan.
Addressing a huge gathering of over 500 students and faculty members on this occasion he said that the 4th National Voters Day is being celebrated across the country and the day is special for the newly registered voter who is going to use their right to vote in coming elections for the first time.
He added that vote is the democratic right of every one and all the concerned should ensure that everyone who hase attained age of 18 years gets his name enrolled in the voter list, so that he/she becomes eligible to exercise franchise.
SDM(Sadar) Mr. Bachhu Singh, highlighted the importance of the day and said that the EPICs empower the voters to exercise their franchise and requested the public to participate in the electoral process.
The OATH of Election Commission of India was read out loud to the gathering present on the occasion emphasizing the conduct of free and fair elections with participation of people.
A massive students rally was also taken out to celebrate the National Voter’s Day, in which many students and staff of I.T.S Dental College, Greater Noida, participated.
