5 arrested for online gambling
Gurgaon:A cyber cafe operator and four of his clients were arrested for allegedly betting through online casino games. According to the police, Aadil Ansari ran the cyber cafe in Mahalaxmi Bazaar near New Colony and lived in Madanpuri. Rs 3100 in cahs, 6 LED TVs, and various computer paraphernalia was recovered from the cyber cafe.
On Sunday afternoon, acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid in the cyber cafe and caught five people engaged in online casino games and online bingo game. The other four accused were identified as Vinit, Raju, Ram Singh and Suraj, all residents of Gurgaon. “We have lodged an FIR and produced them in a city court today,” said inspector Babu Lal, SHO, city police station.
