54th Raising Day Parade of ITBP held greater noida
Greater Noida, 28th October 2015 :- 54th Raising Day Parade of Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) organized at 39th Bn ITBP, Greater Noida today. Sh. Ajit Doval, Hon’ble National Security Adviser, Govt of India took salute and reviewed the Parade.On the occasion, while addressing the Parade, Sh. Doval praised the Force and said that the Force is working in inhospitable terrain and extreme climatic conditions on Himalayan borders and morale of the Force and its dedication is praiseworthy. 04 personnel were conferred with President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, 24 personnel Police medals for meritorious service, 04 personnel President Police Medal for Gallantry, 06 personnel Police Medal for Gallantry in addition to Sarvottam Jeewan Raksha Padak to SI/GD Jayendra Prasad(Posthoumous) and Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak to 5 Ct/GD Nand Ram, Bibhuti Roy, Sarvesh Kumar, Jomon P.G. and Ajay Lal(Posthomously). SS Battalion was awarded with ‘Best non border Battalion’ while -19th Bn was awarded with ‘Best Border Battalion’ trophy. In his address, Sh. Krishna Chaudhary, DG ITBP elaborated upon various achievements of the Force. Raised in 1962, the ITBP guards 3488 KMs mountainous borders along Indo-China Border on altitudes ranging from 9000 ft to 18700 ft. Apart from border guarding; the Force is also deployed for anti naxal operations and other Internal Security duties.
