59th IHGF Delhi Fair – SPRING 2025 concludes with Valedictory Function

Delhi/NCR – 19th April 2025 – The 59th edition of IHGF Delhi Fair-Spring 2025 held from 16th to 19th April 2025 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida Expressway, concluded with a Valedictory Ceremony with Chief Guest Kuljeet Chahal, Vice Chairman NDMC, in the presence of Mr. Vinod Agarwal, Mayor of Moradabad, U.P. They also gave away the awards for Best Display at the IHGF Delhi Fair-Spring 2025 in 13 product categories. Present on the momentous occasion were dignitaries like, Mr. Dileep Baid, Chairman, EPCH; Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General in the role of Chief Mentor, EPCH and Chairman, IEML; Mr. Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairman, EPCH; Mr. Ravi Passi, Mr. R. K. Malhotra, Mr.O.P. Prahladka, Mr. Arshad Mir, Mr. Lekhraj Maheswari, Mr. Girish Agarwal, Mr. Jaswant Meel, Mr. Salman Azam, Mr. Zeeshan Ali, COA Members; Mr. Kamal Kaushal Varshney & Mr. Nadeem Ahmed Khan, Vice Presidents, IHGF Delhi Fair-Spring 2025 Reception Committee; Mr. S K Goel, Mr. Najmal Islam, Prominent Member Exporters; participating exhibitors, Buying representatives and Mr. R. K. Verma, Executive Director, EPCH were present.

“The Spring 2025 edition of the IHGF Delhi Fair concluded after witnessing four energetic days of vibrant activity and meaningful business engagement. The fair welcomed major international brands, prominent importers, leading wholesalers and independent buyers from overseas, as well as sourcing agents and key retail players from India. Throughout its action-packed run, the venue buzzed with buyer enquiries, order finalisations, and sample selections, setting the stage for a highly promising sourcing season ahead,” highlighted Mr. Dileep Baid, Chairman-EPCH.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General in the role of Chief Mentor, EPCH and Chairman, IEML, added, “This edition underlined the strength of dynamic sourcing and we observed a steady stream of visitors throughout. International buyers from across the globe, along with purchasing agents and prominent domestic retailers, engaged with over 3,000 exhibitors housed in expansive halls, 900 exhibitors in permanent showrooms, alongside curated theme presentations, live craft demonstrations, and a host of value added features. With the fair concluding on a successful note, attention is now set on the much-anticipated Autumn 2025 in October.” He further said, “We are honoured by the visits of several dignitaries to fair. Their encouraging remarks on the sector’s growth and achievements of this globally acclaimed event over its successive editions, both reassure and inspire us to continue raising the bar.”

Speaking about buyer response to the fair, Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Vice Chairman, EPCH, affirmed, “The segments of home, lifestyle, fashion, furnishings, furniture, and interiors continue to evolve. This season, the spotlight shifted towards emotionally resonant design, where sustainability meets craftsmanship, surface textures blend with expressive prints, materials narrate stories rooted in tradition, and statement pieces coexist with collections defined by a pure, modern aesthetic. Exhibiting and sourcing at this edition of the IHGF Delhi Fair beautifully reflected all of these trends.” Echoing the sentiment, Mr. Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairman II, EPCH and added, “The availability of high-quality products under one roof, across a range of price points, catered to diverse buyer needs. Buyers explored fresh product lines from new suppliers, alongside innovative offerings from long-standing vendors. Numerous orders were confirmed during the event, with many more anticipated through post-show follow-ups.”

Tim O’ Hearn, a buyer from USA shared, “I’ve seen the fair grow stronger and more impressive with each edition. I’m here to reconnect with long time partners and explore new designs for ideas and inspiration. I work in the home textiles and furnishings industry, and I choose Indian products for their handcrafted quality, fair pricing, and undeniable beauty.” Kellie Lemon a buyer from Australia was on her first visit to the fair and was “truly surprised by the huge variety and diversity of products” showcased. Her firm sources choicest products from around the world to offer a beautiful collection, she shared and added, “The craftsmanship and creativity in Indian products really stand out. Even though we primarily focus on home decoration, we are exploring different categories with an open mind here.”

“Over the years, the IHGF Delhi Fair has become a vital platform for countless buyers and sellers, facilitating the procurement and supply of products that resonate with global consumers and enjoy strong marketability. With continued efforts in the right direction, we aim to expand this vibrant community and further strengthen our sector’s global presence,” said Mr. Nirmal Bhandari, President, IHGF Delhi Fair-Spring 2025 Reception Committee.

Mr. R. K. Verma, Executive Director, EPCH added, “Approximately 5800 overseas buyers, buying representatives from 112 countries visited the fair that resulted in business enquiries worth around Rs.2200 crores. Besides, over 1000 domestic volume buyers also attended the fair. Overseas buyers and Buying representatives from companies/ departmental stores like Al-Diwan Centre; Alrugaib Furniture; Aquafil; Arte Regal Making Home; Basila; Birdie Fortescue; Blechfabsik; Boogs Home Gmbh; Cuiliu; Deux Mille Cinq; Drift Lifestyle; Familia; Goldenbelt; Grupo Amoble; Habufa; Heiner Freese Import Export; Homecentre; Item International; John Lewis; Jolipa Buba; Kay&Jay; My Divine Home ; Ocean 2 Ocean; Piece of Art; Rugs By Fatih; Toyoshima & Co. Ltd.; Wood Kings and many more; Domestic volume brands like Reliance Retail, ⁠Usha Fans and Lighting’s, ⁠Bombay Store, ⁠Shoppers Store, Home Centre, ⁠@ Home, ⁠Lulu India, ⁠Amazon, ⁠Fab India etc. and many more visited the fair. Supporting events at the fair, like workshops, seminars on various topics related to the sector, live craft demonstration by National Awardees, thematic display at the Designers Gallery, ramp presentations and facilities at the fair, made the experience wholesome for both exhibitors and buyers.”

Mr. Verma also informed that the Ajai Shankar and P N Suri Memorial Awards for Best Design Display were given in the 12 product categories including Lamps, Lighting, and Accessories; Home Furnishings and Made Ups; Fashion Jewellery and Accessories; Decorative Gifts including Corporate Gifts; Bathroom Accessories; Candle, Incense Sticks, Potpourri, Medication & Aromatics; Handmade Paper, Gift Wraps & Ribbon including Soft Toys; Sustainable Products; Houseware, Table & Decorative Products; Furniture, Furniture Hardware & Home Accessories; Christmas and Festive Decorations; Carpets, Rugs & Flooring Coverings; Floor Coverings & Rugs. An estimated provisional exports of handicrafts during the year 2024-25 was Rs. 33,490.79 Crores (US $ 3959.86 Million) informed by Mr. R. K. Verma, Executive Director, EPCH.
