6 MCD officers suspended by Delhi L-G VK saxena for negligence and misuse of authority

New Delhi, 27 July 2022: Delhi’s L-G, VK Saxena recently suspended six MCD officers who were suspected of misusing their official position, gross negligence and getting illegal gratification.

Saxena has also indulged the CBI into the prosecution of sub registrar of the Delhi government’s revenue department for authorising 50 illegal and unauthorised construction in Karol bagh, including two MCD engineers for allowing unauthorised construction in Narela.

According to sources, the Delhi government, DDA, and MCD officials who are the subject of complaints are given a merit-based decision. While certain complaints have also being rejected after no substantial evidence was found for prosecution in those cases.

“The suspension of MCD officers has once again exhibited a Judicious approach of the L-G in dealing with cases objectively and without any bias against any department or officials,” source added.
