600 LED Screens to be installed in prime locations of Delhi in 2022

New Delhi, January 1: In a meeting chaired last week by Deputy Chief Minister & Finance minister Manish Sisodia, the expenditure & finance committee approved Rs. 475.8 crore for the project of 600 LED screens installment in 600 locations across the capital, which is scheduled to be completed in the next one year, said an official on Friday.

The LED Screens will display graphic films, pollution data, social messages, health awareness campaigns, and information on government policies of public interest.

These LED display screens would be installed outside metro stations, railway stations, and inter-state bus terminals, in addition to arterial roads and important junctions.

According to the Official, “The LED screens will be installed at prominent locations on PWD roads which are more than 80ft wide, road intersections and T-points of roads with right of way above 80 feet or more, and entry and exit points of Metro stations having more footfall. “More priority will be given to roads which are between 100ft and 200ft and roads having heavy traffic volume and more footfall.”

According to the official statement, screens will be fixed on all four models: portrait screen with unipole form, landscape screen with single display, Tr-side display, and rectangle cluster monitors.

As per the proposal, the installation will be completed in phases & the whole project is expected to be completed in one year.
