7th Pay commission latest news – Cabinet likely to approve a note on 29th June

The seventh pay commission had recommended a 23.55% increase in pay and allowances.

24% rise in pensions and one-rank-one-pension for central employees and paramilitary personnel.

“Committee of secretaries has finalised its report on pay commission recommendations… We will soon draft a Cabinet note based on the report,” finance secretary Ashok Lavasa has been quoted by news sources.

“We will soon announce it. The increase would be a little below 20%,” a source has stated to news source but did not elaborate. The Centre has said adequate provisions have been made in the 2016-17 Budget to absorb the impact recommendations.
