90 flights cancelled in 11 days at Chennai Airport

Coronavirus side effects have started appearing at Chennai International Airport.  In the first 11 days of this month, 90 flights from Chennai Airport were cancelled. The number of passengers on international aircraft has dropped significantly due to the novel corona virus. The outbreak keeps the silence at Chennai Airport. Tour and Travels has come to a standstill. It would be surprising to know that 33000 thousand passengers fly to India and abroad daily, but after Corona virus this number has decreased.

 

Many airlines canceled flights according to Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials, several airlines, including Singapore Airlines, IndiGo, Sri Lankan Airlines, Air India, Cathay Pacific, Kuwait Airways, Lufthansa and Batik Air, had canceled their flights to various destinations.

 

Although some of these airways admitted that the flight was canceled due to corona virus and some airways gave different reasons for the flight cancellation, but the reality is that the airline company cancels the flight when the number of passengers is reduced. Airlines cancel flights when half the seats are vacant.
