AAP supported student body CYSS finalizes its panel of candidates for DUSU elections

Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS), the AAP supported student body today finalized its panel of students for its debut Delhi University elections. Garima Rana of Hindu College, Rahul Raj Aryan of Hindu College, Kuldeep Bidhuri of PGDAV (Morning) College and Hitanshi Chauhan from Satyavati College (Morning) will contest DU elections on CYSS panel.
CYSS President Anupam Kumar said that CYSS stands for alternative student politics and is committed to ending the era of money and muscle power in campus elections. “With early announcement of panel, we get an early-bird advantage. Our candidates will get enough time to interact with students and tell them about what CYSS stands for. Students in the campus are fed up with stereotyped high decibel campaign and they are looking for a change,” said Anupam Kumar.
Giving details of CYSS election strategy, Anupam said,” We are a student organization with Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal’s ideals in mind. We stand for clean politics. Students in the campus are really attracted towards the idea of clean politics that CYSS stands for. Our selfie campaigns generated a very enthusiastic response. We have got internal surveys done and the results show that we have an edge over the competition. People in Delhi had voted for a new kind of politics in Assembly elections. Results of DU elections will be no different. Our campaign will focus on student issues. Delhi University students have been seeing vulgar splashing of money and intimidating presence of outsiders. They did not have an option earlier because all the student bodies were resorting to this. Now they have a new hope in CYSS.”
