Traffic cops aim for road safety
Traffic police have taken a new initiative by marking one city crossroad ‘Zero Tolerance Against Traffic Rules’ each day. A number of cops are deployed at a select crossroad at peak hours to check for violations of traffic laws and defaulters are disciplined.
“Most accidents take place due to traffic violations like jumping red signals. Around 50-60 vehicles are challaned every day when checked intensely,” said Dharmendra Yadav, traffic inspector, Noida.
