Group Housing Societies of Rohini honor Vijender Gupta
New Delhi, 3rd January. Sh. Vijender Gupta, Leader of Opposition, Delhi Legislative Assembly said that Delhi Govt. was intentionally discriminating against Group Housing Societies of the capital. Funds are not being made available to the MLAs for development works within the societies despite resolution to this effect having been adopted in the assembly. This is adversely affecting the developmental activities of the Group Housing Societies. He said that BJP will resort to agitation till funds are not made available for developmental work in societies.
He demanded from Chief Minister to raise allocation of MLA fund for public facilities in Group Housing Societies so that developmental activities such as LED street lights, benches, swings for children, repair of roads, construction of boundary walls, gym equipments for health etc. could be provided. Sh. Gupta has been addressing officials and residents of Group Housing Societies of Rohini in Aashirwad Banquet Hall, Sector-13 Extn, Rohini. This programme was organized by the representatives of Group Housing Societies and BJP workers to honor and thank Sh. Gupta.
As all are aware, Sh. Gupta has been fighting since 2010 demanding use of MLA LAD Fund for development activities within the Group Housing Societies. Immediately after being elected as MLA, he moved a resolution in the assembly seeking permission for use of MLA LAD Fund in Group Housing Societies. He succeeded recently for the same.
Councilors Dr. Neelam Goel, Dr. Shobha Vijender, Tara Chand Bansal were present during the function. On the occasion, Dr. Neelam Goel said that all BJP MLAs and councilors of Delhi are determined to provide all public facilities to the people for which Govt. and Municipal Corporations of Delhi are responsible. All councilors of Rohini are with BJP MLA and Leader of Opposition in Delhi Legislative Assembly, Sh. Vijender Gupta, who is leading the movement for development and welfare of the people of Rohini. Problems have increased in Rohini with the rise in population. Time bound solution of these problems is priority of the MLA and the councilors. They thanked Sh. Gupta on behalf of the residents of Rohini for forcing the government to allow use of MLA LAD Fund for developmental activities in the Group Housing Societies. More than 500 officials, members of the societies and local citizens were participated in the function.
