MART PROMOTION MEET FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 2016

A meeting of mart promotion bureau was held at the board room of IEML on January 14, 2016. The meeting was attended by leading exporters/ mart owners from Delhi, Moradabad, Ferozabad, Banaras and Jaipur.

There was also a financial presentation by Mr. P K Patney, DGM & Zonal Head, Federal bank, on Forex products of Federal bank. A roadmap for 2016 and beyond for increase in further footfall of buyers in mart was discussed in detail and it was decided to promote marts in a big way during the coming IHGF Spring.

On this occasion, the newly installed ATM of federal bank at gate no. 2 and the food van parked at Gate no. 2 were also inaugurated. A tree was jointly planted by the mart owners and Chairman, mr. Rakesh Kumar within the premises.

The suggestion of Mr. Neeraj Khanna, CEO, M/s Nodi Exports to jointly appoint mart managers who can operate marts on behalf of mart owners 24 X 7 X 365 was widely appreciated and welcomed by the exporters present and it was agreed to ask for the implementation of the same.
