Transforming Greater Noida- A Silver City into Golden City

Written by: Avinash Krishna Goswami

On 28th Jan 2016 Greater Noida will celebrate its 25th Foundation Day Silver Jubliee. Greater Noida city has marked its presence as one of the most preferred city in the field of Education, Health, Infrastructure and Industrial Growth. Greater Noida has now become a centre of attraction from all over world from the view of Investors. Geographically it has a prime location connecting with India’s Capital – Delhi and Noida. Greater Noida has become the Hub of education having more than fourteen thousand students in the city to brighten their career in such a beautiful and peaceful environment.

On 18 Jan 2016, Hon’ble President Shri Pranab Mukherjee visited greater Noida at Shiv Nadar University to announce the first NGO a grant of Rs. Five Crore to be used in Social Work. He said in the event “Declining in the quality of Education is alarming” whereby it means that university are awarding degrees but the students are not getting employed due to lack of Skill and proficiency in the students. So the university shall always focus onto the holistic (overall) development of the personality and nourish them as per the employability requirement of the companies.

The Health care facility provided in the city are amongst the best in the NCR. Senior Doctors from India’s best hospitals like AIIMS, Kailash, Apollo and Fortis are on roll to serve the patients.

One of the biggest achievement which the city has achieved is the Yamuna Expressway. It not only connects the city with other districts but is also helpful in saving precious time in travelling. The City is on the verge to connect with Noida and Delhi through Metro Rail very soon. The project for the same has been passed by the state government.

Every developing city will have some pros and cons. Therefore, it is our prime duty and responsibility to ensure that such feedback should be providedso that any problems or issues arising in the city can be dealt wisely.

As per my opinion, the city has only three major issues which must be looked after on priority.

Safety of Women and Child: we hear reports of chain snatching, theft, etc. in our city occasionally. Such incidents develops the feeling of Insecurity in a free nation like India which is not acceptable on any ground. Administration must take steps on such issues to ensure their safety.

Regular Inspection on Food Items: “Health is Wealth”. The city is a home of thousands of students and working professionals. They somehow depends on the street food or other food supplying agencies. Since Students and youths are the future assets of our country. There must be a regular inspection / check by the state food department officials to ensure that whatever they are eating is safe and healthy for them.

Skill Development Programs for Youths& Students: Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is of the opinion that there must be a skill development programs to be specifically organized for youths and students of the state to ensure that they possess sharp intellectual mind skills but also to ensure that using such skill / talent they can become entrepreneurs and give employment to others rather than getting employed. Universities established in Uttar Pradesh and many institutions with the help of State administration can jointly form a committee to make such programs efficient and effective.

The Credit for all thedevelopments taking place in the city goes to Greater Noida Industrial development authority, Yamuna Expressway Industrial development authority and the people of the city who managed every way out to support them and their endless contribute in future too.

With this approach and execution of various policies one day our city would definitely be called as “Golden City” equipped with all the world renowned facilities available here.
