Exhibition Showcase Introduced Exhibition Excellence Awards-2016

Exhibition Excellence Awards-2016, was held at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida by Exhibition Showcase to honour the Indian Exhibition Industry. The initiative was supported by The Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, National Skill Development Council, The Indian Exhibition Industry Association, Indian Exhibition Services Association & Indian Industries Association.

There were total 25 nomination categories including Lifetime Achievement backed by Mr Rakesh Kumar (EPCH), Largest Show to UBM (Cphi), 1087 exhibitors, The Big Show to ITPO (35th IITF), 6000 exhibitors, The Royal Show to All India Plastic manufacturing association (plastivision), 1200 exhibitors, Fastest growing show to Tafcon projects (India pack), 138% growth, The Grand Venue to Bombay exhibition centre, The Star Venue to India Expo Mart Greater Noida, Outstanding Contribution to Exhibition Industry to Mr Ravinder Sethi, Top Multicity Show to affairs, India International Premier schools fair (12 cities), etc.

The Award aims to appreciate and honour the people from the exhibition industry for their effort inserving the industry most effectively. The nominations were handled by the international research firm Econ One to make the process more transparent and fair. The initiative attempts to bring awareness among the masses, government and the international community alike. The event started with an interactive session– How Exhibitions can Foster the National Make in India Initiative.

Some of the major invitees of the event included Ravindranath – CMD of NSIC, Mrs Rita Menon – Former Textile Secrerary, Rajnish Goenka – National Convener of BJP Micro Industries Cell, Rakesh Kumar – Export promotion council of Handicrafts, Manjula Mishra – Indian Industries Association, Renu Sharma, Smt. Vimla Batham – M.L.A. Gautam Budh Nagar U.P and Sh. Harendra Yadav – Chairman Zila Panchayat, Bulandshehr – U.P. Over a hundred exhibition organization present in the event were Export Promotion Council of Handicrafts, FICCI, ITPO, NSIC, UBM, Agra Footwear Association, Indian Printing Manufacturing Association, All India Plastic Manufacturing Association, Confederation of Indian Textile Industry, Auto Expo – SIAM and many more..

Commenting on the importance of the event, Raghav Khosla, Founder, Exhibition Showcase & Organizer of the initiative said, “This was a genuine attempt to bring our industry to the forefront. We made sure that the industry gets its due recognition. It’s time to bring home some glory and showcase its presence to the world.”

Sh. Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director at Export Promotion Council of Handicrafts said,”This is a commendable initiative by Exhibition Showcase. The industry, being a catalyst to our economy’s growth, needs a lot of its due recognition and this initiative will do great to applaud the good work of the champions of our industry.”

Mr Ravinder Sethi, Managing Director, R. E. Rogers said, “I am very happy that such an initiative is taking place in India at this time. I am very obliged to receive the title of ‘Outstanding Contribution to Exhibition Industry. It’s a great achievement and I will try to maintain the dignity of the title.”
