ACP to face trial in fake voter ID case as court rejects plea

A session’s court on Friday dismissed the review petition of a serving assistant commissioner of police, who had sough reprieve from a lower court order indicting him in the fake voter identity cards case.

Narender Kadyan, the ACP, had allegedly produced a false report in the case to benefit the accused, including local MLA and Haryana’s sports and youth affairs minister Sukhbir Kataria.
