Galgotias University on Sunday held its first annual convocation and distributed degrees to 2912 graduate and post-graduate students. The DGP also awarded gold medals to 51 students.Suneel Galgotia, Chancellor of Galgotias University encouraged students to lead their life with integrity and hard work. The students from thirteen different schools, offering specialized courses from engineering, law, business, pharmacy, hospitality, etc were awarded degrees. "The students should not differentiate themselves on the basis of caste, creed, sex or other such issues. He also advised the students to overcome the issues of caste and creed.

The students comprised batches from 2013-15.Javeed Ahmad, Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh was the chief guest at the occasion.
Ahmad laid emphasis on the benefits of education to the young students. He said that the students may face some challenges and they should deal with strength and perfection. He said that the educated minds will easily inculcate values and overcome the problems.
