UP DGP Javed Ahmad on Sunday claimed to cracked the kidnapping of a Meerut-based businessman’s 13-year-old son. The DGP said that with the help of human and electronic surveillance, the police team managed to crack the case. The police also claimed to recover the ransom money of Rs 23 lakh.Mayank Jain’s son Aatish was kidnapped on February 19 while going home from TP Nagar police station area. The family on February 22 had got the demand for Rs two crore ransom, which was later settled at Rs 23 lakh.The businessman had informed the police about the incident. The businessman’s nephew was involved in the kidnapping, it has been learned.
