Dr Jitendra Singh and Shri Kiren Rijiju pay last respects to Shri P. A. Sangma
Shri P A. Sangma remembered in his home town Tura in Meghalaya
The Union Minister of State (IC) for Ministry of DoNER, MoS PMO, Personnel and Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space Dr Jitendra Singh and MoS Home Shri Kiren Rijiju paid last respects to the former Speaker of Lok Sabha, Shri P. A. Sangma in his hometown Tura in Meghalaya today.
Dr Jitendra Singh described Shri Sangma as the first visible face from Northeast after independence, to have made his presence noticeable across the country. He said that as DoNER Minister, he kept in regular touch with Shri P. A. Sangma who was a great help as a knowledgeable resource person on Northeast related issues.
Shri Kiren Rijiju described Shri Sangma as a personal guide from whom he has learnt a lot throughout his life. Shri P. A. Sangma was the tallest political leader from North East India, Shri Rijiju added.
