Married woman found dead, family claims dowry death
Saharanpur, Apr 12 (PTI) A newly-married woman was found dead in mysterious circumstances in Bhari Bhavsi village with her family claiming she was killed over dowry demands, police said today.
Family members of the deceased said her husband had sought a car from them in dowry and killed her when they failed to meet the demand, Additional SP (Rural) Jagdish Sharma said.
On the basis of their complaint, an FIR has been registered in the matter, he said.
The body has been sent for postmortem.
