PM Modi Popular in ASEAN
New Delhi, 2nd May 2016: President Delhi Study Group & Senior BJP Leader Vijay Jolly recently visited Indonesia & Malaysia to Promote People to People Friendship & Understanding. He found Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hugely popular among the ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) delegates from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei,Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam etc.
Mr. Jolly delivered keynote address on “Role of Political Parties in Enhancing Democracy for Benefit of People’s Welfare” at Indonesian Parliament House in Jakarta. Prominent leaders of 360 political parties of Asia, Africa, Caribbean & Europe participated. Madam Megawati Sukarnoputri Ex. President of Indonesia inaugurated the program in the presence of Vice President H. Jusuf Kalla.
Indian Ambassador Mrs. Nengcha Lhouvum hosted dinner reception in honor of Vijay Jolly at India House. Chairman Greater Indonesia Movement Party Hon’ble Prabowo Subianto organized a grand welcome for Mr. Jolly at his farm house Ashram in city of Hambalang in South Java. A 101 band playing Indian & Indonesian National Anthem gave a rousing welcome & guard of honor along with performances of judo-karate & yoga.
Indian BJP Leader Vijay Jolly was unanimously appointment Chief Advisor Youth Wing of Asian Political Parties at Jakarta.
On return back home, Mr. Jolly met T.S. Tirumurti, Indian High Commissioner in Malaysia. Both had long discussion on current India – Malaysia relations. And the huge impact of PM Modi’s visit to Kuala Lumpur in last November. A grand dinner reception was organized by OFBJP Malaysia chapter at Kuala Lampur to meet & greet Mr. Jolly. He returned back home yesterday after a successful 9 days trip to Indonesia & Malaysia.
