MR. RAKESH KUMAR, CHAIRMAN, INDIA EXPOSITION MART LTD, GREATER NOIDA and INDIA EXPOSITION MART TO BE AWARDED BY SAFARI INDIA AND PATWA

Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman – India Exposition Mart will be conferred Safari India South Asia Travel Award in individual category towards his contribution to conceive, implement and run successfully state-of-the art exhibition centre called India Exposition Mart Ltd [IEML] at Greater Noida and also his overall contribution towards promoting exhibition industry.

The award will be given by Safari India, a premier tourism magazine and PATWA on 26th August, 2016 at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi.

Safari India a prestigious regional tourism magazine gives travel awards every year to recognize individuals, hotel, airlines and destinations. It is the only magazine published from India on regional tourism and circulated at most of the hotels, tourist centers, airlines, travel agencies and PATA, TAAI, IHA, ASTA, WATA, UFTAA, POW, WOW both in India and abroad.

PATWA is the leading travel writers organization representing members from all over the world. It is also an affiliate member of UNWTO and is supported by world travel forum.

India Exposition Mart is also to be given Safari India South Asia Travel award in the category of best exhibition Centre on the same day.

Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman – India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida cited the reason behind conferring best exhibition centre by Safari India is that “India Expo Centre” was built at Greater Noida in record time of 30 months over a plot of 60 acres initiated by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, Development Commissioner [Handicrafts], Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority and Exporters of Handicrafts consisting world class standard facilities of 14 exhibition halls, conference rooms, 16 escalators, 17 passengers lifts and freight lifts, parking for 8000 cars and 200 trucks, elaborate fire fighting system, lush green lawns, water bodies, signages and guiding system all managed through integrated Building Management System.

Since 2006, very prestigious and renowned activities have been organized at India Expo Centre which includes World Dental Congress IN 2014, Asian Development Bank in which finance heads of 60 countries took part in 2013, World Annual Dental Congress in 2014 in which rep of 130 countries took part, Auto Expo in 2014 & 2016 apart from world largest fair IHGF-Delhi Fair Autumn & Spring being held from 2006 itself in which buyers from more than 140 countries visits every edition to source Indian handcrafted products further apprised Shri Kumar.

The award will be given by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Union Minister of State for Tourism, Culture & Civil Aviation.
