DELHI’S PROBLEM IS THAT THE CM KEJRIWAL IS SO BUSY IN SPREADING POLITICAL POLLUTION WHICH LEAVES NO TIME WITH HIM TO CONCENTRATE AND FIGHT AGAINST ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION – SATISH UPADHYAY
New Delhi, 7th November. Delhi BJP President Shri Satish Upadhyay has said that in place of issuing new statements everyday Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should take concrete steps on controlling pollution. Yesterday he was telling that the cause of pollution in Delhi is the burning of stubbles in the fields and today he says that the brick kilns are the cause of pollution in NCR. He said that now the people fully understand that if the burning of stubbles is the main cause of pollution in Delhi then the condition in Haryana and Punjab should have been worse but this is not so. Today he is talking about the brick kilns, most of them are in Ghaziabad and Faridabad Districts but pollution in these Districts is not like Delhi. It would be better if Kejriwal Government works on finding the real causes of pollution seriously and protecting the people from it.
Shri Upadhyay further said that Kejriwal Government is not serious about curbing pollution in Delhi and there are two proofs of this fact. Firstly the Government had announced last year in November that the biggest cause of pollution in Delhi is vehicular pollution and had announced two steps in this regard. The first was observing No Car Day in a particular area in Delhi on 22nd of every month and the second was implementing Odd-Even Vehicle System. Nobody remembers when the last No Car Day was observed, the second Odd-Even programme was implemented from 15th to 30th April, 6 months have elapsed since then and the Delhi Government has not done anything for controlling pollution because they are busy in Punjab elections.
Shri Upadhyay has said that Delhi’s problem is that the CM Kejriwal is so busy in spreading political pollution that leaves no time with him to fight against environmental pollution. Sunday evening when Delhi was facing worst ever pollution, Kejriwal was busy in a political melodrama over JNU.
