Final Day of Parliament’s Winter Session: What to expect if Rahul Gandhi speaks with Narendra Modi in the House
New Delhi, Dec 16: With the winter session nearing end on Friday, it is Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who is the focus of all, due to his ‘personal corruption’ of Narendra Modi claims. But similarly, the BJP seems quite prepared with some form of strategy to counter these claims, with the party already claiming Rahul’s comment as the ‘joke of the year’. In such a situation, the not so fruitful winter session seems to have in hold some form of entertainment and possible revelations on the last day.
Ironically, the Congress VP has been claiming that if he is allowed to speak of the ‘personal corruptions’ of the PM, it will ‘explode the balloon’ of the PM. Similarly, the BJP on Thursday dragged, as planned earlier, the name of Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s name in the Rs. 3,600 crore AgustaWestland VVIP chopper scam. Prior to that India Today TV carried out a sting operation in which members of various opposition parties were seen involved in corruptions related to money laundering. In such a messy situation, one must look at the claims of Rahul Gandhi.
The winter session began after the initiation of the demonetisation drive and as expected, the already fumed Opposition protested against the move, well most of the time. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee joined hands with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and led protests in Delhi against the drive. Similar protests were held all around the country by the opposition. The situation was n different in the two houses, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. With serial disruptions, it was expected that the Parliamentarians will finally have a productive discussion on demonetisation. Nothing of that sort happened.
