Oppn asks EC to ensure Budget is presented after polls

The Opposition claims that advancement of the budget session could help the government influence voters through sops.

New Delhi: Opposition leaders from the Congress, Trinamool Congress (TMC), DMK, Janata Dal (United) and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) visited the Election Commission Thursday to protest why the Union Budget was being announced before the Assembly elections in five states.
