New Delhi: UP Special Task Force has unearthed one of the biggest online frauds claimed to be around Rs 3,700 crore which was being run under the guise of online trading.
Three people have been arrested and further investigation is on.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a company called Ablaze Info Solutions Limited, located in Noida Sector-63, duped around 7 lakh people and took an investment of approximately Rs 3,700 crore from them under the ‘Earn Rs 5 per click’ scheme.
“Credulity of online business with such type of crimes is damaging . The company promoters could also be booked under IT Act sections 66 and 43 etc..after investigations..There may be some other violations – like data security of individual/members , if he has compromised security . Multi-level marketing is banned in India . If any company guarantees 20% or over margin of profit …people should not believe it… Further they must ask for PAN , Certificate from registrar of Company , Landline no etc. before transacting the business of such companies. ” Anuj Agarwal , Cyber Law Expert who has been a master trainer to various police , academic and other organizations.
