#GST bills to be tabled in #LokSabha tomorrow: Reports
New Delhi, Mar 23: The four Goods and Services Tax draft (GST) draft approved by the cabinet on Monday is speculated to be tabled in Lok Sabha on Friday. The approval of the GST draft by the parliament along with the separate one by all state assemblies including Delhi and Puducherry will complete the all the legislative process required for GST.
News Agency ANI claimed via Twitter that the bill will be placed in Lok Sabha tomorrow. “GST Bills to be tabled in Lok Sabha tomorrow: Finance Ministry sources,” the tweet read. The approval of the bills will complete all the procedures required for the rollout of GST which is projected to begin from July 1.
The four GST legislations approved by the Union Cabinet on Monday includes The Central Goods and Services Tax Bill 2017 (The CGST Bill), The Integrated Goods and Services Tax Bill 2017 (The IGST Bill), The Union Territory Goods and Services Tax Bill 2017 (The UTGST Bill) and The Goods and Services Tax (Compensation to states) Bill 2017.
