Advocates Amendment Bill 2017 is anti-lawyer: Manan Kumar Mishra Chairperson, Bar Council of India

Today in New Delhi, Bar Council of India has announced that the entire advocates of India will be on strike on March 31 against “The Advocates Amendment Bill,2017”. The proposals of India have been analyzed and discussed in detailed.

Manan Kumar Mishra, Chairperson, Bar Council of India, has said that, Bill is anti-lawyer and anti-people. This is also against democracy, he added.
Bar Council of India along with its members and associates will meet the Union Law Minister, to convey their demand. The Law Commission appears to have acted hurriedly without considering recommendations of Bar Council of India and it has only considered the recommendations of non lawyers.
