SSC CGL 2017 Notification Delay: Re-draft of Admission Criteria possible reason for delay in official update at ssc.nic.in
The SSC CGL 2017 notification was expected to be released at the official website of ssc.nic.in in the month of March. However, there has been an unexplained delay in the release of the notification for the Combined Graduate Level Exam for this year. In the absence of any official updates, aspirants are confused as to the possible reasons for the delay in the notifications. While the sources are silent about any official reasons, a new notice seeking comments regarding the re-draft of the admission criteria as been released. Few experts have suggested that the changes within the Staff Selection Commission’s admission guidelines could be a possible reason for the delay in the release of CGL 2017 Notification.
A new notice for change in the admission or eligibility criteria for Grade A, B, C and D was released last week on the official website. Along with the same, SSC CHSL Exam 2016 Important Notice was released as per which Educational Qualification and Pay Band for DEO were Amended. The notice clarified that the admission criteria for the on-going recruitment exercise was also changed. On the same date, the Commission had also released Draft Recruitment Rules for the Post of DEO Grade ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘D’ in Staff Selection Commission. The draft has sought comments from all stakeholders and sought a feedback on the same on or before May 5, 2017. Experts believe that this might be one of the reasons for delay and in all probability the notification would be released after the same is closed in the month of May when the recruitment rules would be released in the official gazette.
