Ghaziabad: 70-year-old grandmom beaten for standing up to molesters, dies
A 70-year-old woman succumbed to injuries at GTB Hospital in Delhi on Tuesday after she was allegedly beaten by her neighbours for objecting to their comments about her 17-year-old granddaughter.
The incident took place in an area under Murad Nagar police station on April 23.
According to the victim’s family, their neighbours and locals in the area had passed lewd comments and used obscene language while addressing the girl on the evening of April 21. The girl immediately fled the spot and ran to her house.
