Triple Talak undesirable, only practiced in India says SC

Triple talaq is the worst and not a desirable form of dissolution of marriage among the Muslims, even though there were institutions of thought which called it legal, the Supreme Court stated on Friday.

Talking about the Triple Talaq issue with Ten News, Nadeem Akhtar from Shikhar Organisation said that, first of all whatever decision Supreme Court takes we have to obey it and I expect, Supreme Court would honour the religion first.

Conversely, BJP has said that , the reason for which Islam has survived for so long was its spiritual beauty and openness to reform.

As per the reports produced in Supreme Court, Triple talaq is hardly practised in any other country and was only prevalent among Indian Muslims.
