Congress demands action in Paradise Paper expose of MoS Jayant Sinha and MP R K Sinha

Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala, In-Charge of Communications at AICC today termed Modi governments fight against black money and corruption a flop show.
He said,” By not taking action against black money holders abroad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has backstabbed the people of electorate. No FIR has been registered till now in the 500 names which had surfaced during Panama Papers expose which came in May 2016″.
He then spoke in detail about recent Paradise Paper expose which has 714 Indian links of tax havens including that of Union Minister Jayant Sinha and BJP Rajyasabha MP RK Sinha.
He also said that after June 2014 revelations Modi government had refused to make public names of Indian who had dubious foreign bank accounts in the LGT bank of Liechtenstein.
On MoS Jayant Sinha’s name popping in Paradise Paper expose he said, “Jayant Sinha concealed the information of being a director of ‘D. Light Design’s in his declaration to the election commission as well as to the Loksabha secretariat and PMO. The Minister also refuses to disclose various financial document signed by him on or behalf of another company going by the name of Omdiyar Network”.
Congress leader alleged that Jayant Sinha is or has been the director of 6 companies that haven’t been declared by him.
He further claimed that BJP Rajyasabha MP R K Sinha is also enrolled in offshore firms.
He said, “BJP MP RK Sinha along with wife and son are owners of an offshore company called ‘SIS Asia Pacific Holdings Ltd. (SAPHIL) in the offshore tax haven of Malta. Also another company is also incorporated by him in the offshore tax haven of British Virgin Islands”.
