New Delhi: On Tuesday, Volvo launched its much-awaited premium SUV XC60 in India. Resembling to its larger sibling, XC90, the new car carries a premium touch on exterior design and interior cossetting.
The new XC60 is designed to provide a wonderful driving experience with its enhanced technology, sublime comfort and robust preventive and protective safety features. The newly launched model is priced at Rs 55.9 Lakhs Exshowroom, lndia.
The new XC60 exterior has an athletic sculpture with a subtle, timeless quality. With the signature Thor’s Hammer and Volvo’s tail lights the design provides a sporty feel. The interior is a masterful composition of Scandinavian luxury and beautiful use of materials. Trimmed in nappa leather Fine wood along the dashboard that boasts of a 9-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen giving the cabin a lavish look and feel.

The car is available in a choice of four color options. While the white, black and silver colors are similar to the XC90, the grey color seen here is a new addition that is exclusive to the XC60. The launch edition seen here will be available for a limited time period, says Volvo. In a conversation with Overdrive last week, Volvo India’s new M.D., Mr. Carles Frump, said that the outgoing XC60 has contributed over 30% of its local sales and the new one is expected to build on that successful run.
