HM visits forward location of Himalayas to greet Himveers of ITBP on the New Year’s eve

Sh Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble HM to meet Himveers of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on the New Year ’s Eve
Reaches 12th Battalion, ITBP Matli, Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand on a 2 day tour
Matli, Uttarkashi. On the eve of New Year, Sh Rajnah Singh, Hon’ble HM will visit to the forward areas of the Himalayan borders and will meet the ITBP jawans deployed at the BOPs. Sh Singh reached the 12th Battalion of ITBP based in Matli today and will proceed to forward posts tomorrow on the 1st day of the New Year to greet them.
Sh R K Pachnanda, DG and senior officers of ITBP are also accompanying the HM on the tour. Sh Singh met the families of jawans residing in the family quarters of the Unit premises and greeted them on the eve of the New Year. Hon’ble HM will also join in ‘Bara Khana’ with the jawans this evening.
On the second day of the tour, Sh Singh will reach to the Nelong Border Out Post of the ITBP where he will meet the jawans on the New Year’s eve. Nelong is a high altitude BOP of the Force located at 11,636 ft MSL.
This is the first ever visit by the Hon’ble HM in Nelong Valley. Earlier this year in September-October, Sh Singh had visited Mana, Lapthal and Rimkhim BOPs besides various other formations of ITBP- M and SI, Auli, Joshimath and Gauchar and had celebrated Dusehera with ITBP jawans.
