New Delhi: Former Union Minister and ex-Governor of Tamil Nadu Bhishma Narain Singh passed away at age of 85 after prolonged illness on Thursday morning.
Dr Singh held various portfolios during the Congress rule led by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He was also the Governor of Assam and Tamil Nadu.
His cremation took place at Lodhi Road crematorium where Home Minister Rajnath Singh paid homage to the departed soul.
Senior Congress leaders like Ashok Gehlot, Shakeel Ahmad, Natwar Singh also turned up at crematorium to pay homage and met with his family members. Senior journalists, former governors and other party leaders were also present at the cremation ground.
