Film based on human trafficking ‘Pakhi’ to hit screens on August 10

New Delhi: When human trafficking and child trafficking issue has triggered controversy after the rescue of 39 Nepali girls in national Capital, a film – Pakhi, based on the same issue is going to hit the screen on August 10.

Engineer-turned-filmmaker and recipient of national award for Natya Bhushan, Sachin Gupta has written and directed the film. The film was featured under the banner of Chirag Entertainment Network.

The film is based on the true events and is a story of 10 years old girl who is about to get married with a 60-year-old man and gets trapped in the world of human trafficking.

Speaking at the event, director of the film, Sachin Gupta said, ‘Human trafficking is world’s second largest business and the trafficking gang is much active in the country. In Pakhi, we have tried to present the real face of this business.’
He further said, ‘We have done a lot of research before making the film. We visited the red light areas of Delhi and Mumbai too.’

Spotlight 2, web series fame Anamika Shukla is the lead character of the film accompanied with Sumeet Kant Kaul and Anmol Goswami. The film is going to release on August 10.
