Delhi all set to host 10th edition of AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships!

New Delhi :– 10th edition of the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships all set to take place between November 15-24 at Indira Gandhi stadium in New Delhi. The tournament will be witnessing previous champions and Olympians stepping on the ring for some unmissable action.

With less than a week to go until the start of the competition, the top women boxers are embarking on their final preparations for the tenth edition of the championships.

Olympic bronze medalist MC Mary Kom is the brand ambassador of the 10th edition of the Women’s World Championship and she will also be seeking her sixth Women’s World Championship crown and second gold at home since 2006, as she leads the Indian contingent for the 2018 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships.

Addressing the Press Conference today, Mary Kom Said,

“I’m always honored to become brand ambassador. I’m really happy to be associated With AIBA. Only 5 days are left for the tournament. The arrangements are very nice and I’m looking forward for the championship.”

When asked about the Delhi Air Pollution, She said, “The situation is not at all good in Delhi and it is same like last year. Since we are used to training here, we don’t have any major problems and we can cope with it but for foreign athletes, it might be a little more difficult.”
