New Delhi: Nawazuddin Siddiqui is in Delhi for the promotion of his upcoming film ‘Thackrey’.
Today, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Amrita Rao, starcast of ‘Thackrey’ addressed a press conference at Odean Carnival Cinemas in New Delhi.
The press conference was also joined by Shivsena MP, Sanjay Raut, who is the writer of the film.
The film ‘Thackrey’ will be releasing on January 25, the 93rd birthday of Bal Thackeray.
When Ten News asked Nawazuddin, “the Indian audience is switching to content based films and this is the reason films like Zero and Thugs of Hindustan were not able to seek audience to the theatres, do you think 3 Khan’s era has been ended”.
Replying to the question asked by Ten News, the actor said, ” You can’t say this if a single film is not able to perform on screen, every actor has up and downs.”
Thackrey, an upcoming bilingual biographical film written and directed by Abhijit Panse, made simultaneously in Marathi and Hindi. Following the life of Bal Thackeray, the founder of the Indian political party Shiv Sena, the film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the eponymous person and Amrita Rao as his wife.
