Narendra Modi’s Cabinet: List likely to be sent to President today

 With stage set for Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony on May 26, the list of those who could be inducted in the new Cabinet may be sent to President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday, as per reports. 

Speculations have also been doing the rounds that Modi may opt for a smaller and leaner Cabinet, keeping in tune with his ‘minimum government, maximum governance’ agenda. 

As per sources senior BJP leaders like Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley and Ravi Shankar Prasad may be inducted in the Cabinet. Jaitley’s name for Finance Ministry, Sushma’s name for HRD, Gadkari’s name for Railways, Prasad’s name for Law have been doing the rounds for a while now.
