NRITYANJALI- 2019 AT DPS GREATER NOIDA.

DPS, Greater Noida hosted ‘Nrityanjali’– National Level Inter – DPS Dance Festival – 2019 on November 23, 2019. In the event, organized under the aegis of the DPS Society, nearly 250 talented dancers from 24 DPSs across the country enthralled one and all through their aesthetic depiction of  the poignant theme of ‘Sushakti’- women empowerment and ‘Mohan to Mahatma’– an artistic journey into the eventful life of the Father of our nation.

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal, Mrs. Renu Chaturvedi thanked the DPS Society for giving the school the privilege to provide talented dipsites, a platform to present varied interpretation of the themes through amazingly choreographed presentations in various Indian dance forms.

The host school had put up an outstanding performance based on the life of  Vidyotama, the learned wife of  classical poet Kalidas, who played a great influence in the transformation of the latter  into a renowned scholar and poet. It was a non – competitive presentation which was applauded and bagged the Judges’ Critical award.

DPS, Navi Mumbai bagged the coveted Winner’s trophy at the mega dance fest, followed by DPS, Ruby Park (Kolkata) and DPS, Nacharam (Hydrebad) in the II position and DPS, Hathras (U.P) as the Second Runner’s up, team.

The winners were felicitated at the valedictory ceremony, which was graced by the Chief Guest, renowned Odissi danseuse Ms.Kavita Dwibedi, Mr. Ran Vijay Singh, SP (Rural) Gautam Budh Nagar and Ms Sandhya Avasthi, Director, DPS Society and the National Convener of Nrityanjali-2019.
